Created in 1892 for the famous Golf de Cannes Mandelieu, a white chocolate shell filled with a top quality praline.
The story: the Grand Duke, owner of the Cannes-Mandelieu Golf Club and a client of our company, asked us to imagine a new sweet, something energetic, to offer to his guests and the crowned heads who frequented the course. In 1892, DEBAUVE & GALLAIS presented him with a sample of chocolate golf balls, the shape of which was similar to that of the rubber balls that had replaced leather balls by the 1880s: a white chocolate shell filled with a premium quality praline. The First World War put an end to the orders but DEBAUVE & GALLAIS still offers its authentic Golf Balls to gourmets.

Delicious caramelized almonds, coated with dark chocolate, a delicacy created for the Emperor Napoleon 1st. The short story: the idea of the Croquamandes arises during a discussion between Lent and the Emperor Napoleon Ier to celebrate the victory of Friedland in June 1807. A few days later, DEBAUVE gave life to this idea and made the first Croquamandes, deliciously caramelized almonds, coated with dark chocolate. A landmark in the history of chocolate between the solid or liquid chocolate that came from Spain and the first contemporary chocolates.
